pure t, expressive clothing for the life inside

If you were to ask me, “What are you most proud of in your career journey?” I would say the launch and growth of pure t, the maternity clothing business I started with my husband in 2005. With sustainability as a focus, I created beautifully fitting designs, glazing over the bump, with organic fabrications and eco-dyeing techniques made in the USA. Worn by celebrities, to mention a few, Heidi Klum, Bridgette Moynahan, and Katie Holmes, pregnant women could find pure t in stores like Nordstrom, and Rosie Pope maternity in NYC. In 2010, we graced the cover of Pregnancy Magazine, which promoted our signature cowl neck selling out in all sizes and colors.

In 2012 I closed pure t after much deliberation because of the economic crisis. After the closing of most maternity brick and mortar stores and the Nordstrom online maternity division, there was not enough support in sales. Those were difficult times for many small businesses, however, I am proud we were able hold true to our brand integrity for as long as we did ~ “born in the USA.”
